Welcome to Ms. Marlo’s Manners & More, where students of all ages are welcomed and the Menu is… “Made to Order.”
I am a certified teacher in the State of Texas. One of my favorite grade levels to teach is Kindergarten. As a teacher, I recognized that a large majority of time in the classroom was spent teaching social skills (for example: how to behave in school, how to communicate with adults, and how to demonstrate responsibility).
As a parent, I recall a time when my son (who was one at the time) walked over to a woman in a local resturant and ate a chip off of her plate! She laughed. I thought, “I don’t remember teaching him that it is innappropriate to eat chips off of random individual’s plates.” I wanted my children to display good manners when I took them into public places. So, I registered to receive top notch training from internationally recognized etiquette instructor, Maura Graber.
In the fast paced society that we live in, common courtesies are often overlooked or neglected all together. I’ve had the opportunity to consult with educators and parents in the community and found an overwhelming desire for a program that focused on teaching social skills.
As a result, Ms. Marlo’s Manners & More was developed to fill the needs of parents and students, teachers in the classroom and educators throughout the community.
It is my desire for each student to behave… MMMM good!
